Description
The standard driveshaft support bearing bracket holds the driveshaft in place using a bit of rubber. It provides excellent vibration and noise damping, but at the same time does not offer sufficient support under load, which - combined with the passage of time - leads to faster wear of this component, loss of proper driveshaft alignment, and the appearance of play during gear changes or throttle operation.
Over the years, the factory bushing becomes brittle, dries out, and cracks.
When the bushing wears out and sags, the driveshaft geometry changes, increasing stress on the joints. During abrupt drivetrain loading (launches, gear changes, rapid throttle input), the bearing may shift off-axis, introducing slack into the drivetrain and resulting in sluggish and unpredictable throttle response.
Our rigid support eliminates this problem by keeping the driveshaft firmly in place in every situation. The stiff mounting prevents the bearing from shifting, ensuring ideal shaft alignment and precise torque transmission regardless of conditions. The result is a more direct and predictable drivetrain response.
Notable benefits:
-
more direct throttle response
-
firmer and more precise gear changes
-
reduced vibrations caused by shaft misalignment or rubber degradation
IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INFORMATION:
It is crucial that when using our product the entire assembly is properly aligned and operates smoothly. Follow the steps below:
-
Ensure the differential is not misaligned — check the condition of its bushings, and if using aftermarket ones, verify that they retain the factory position.
-
Press the bearing onto the shaft using a 38 mm sleeve/pipe and strike only the inner race of the bearing to avoid damage. If it becomes damaged or worn, there are service holes that allow you to select a suitable tool for replacement.
-
Make sure the driveshaft rotates freely by hand — both during installation and after completion.
-
Loosen the engine mounts, differential mounts, and shaft support, then rotate the driveshaft by hand while gradually tightening all components.
-
Tighten the driveshaft support last — this is the final step.
A balanced driveshaft is a smart complement to the setup, and if the entire system is stiffened (aluminum bushings), it is recommended to use a new, factory driveshaft guibo instead of aluminum or polyurethane replacements to ensure maximum gearbox longevity.
