Description of individual BC Racing suspension series:

BR Series

The BR series is the most popular series of coilover suspensions from BC Racing. It owes its success to an attractive price-quality ratio and extensive adjustment options. The shock absorber is a single-tube design with a linear piston and a linear damping curve. BR Series coilovers use a large 46mm piston in a 53mm shock to maximize oil capacity.

RM Series

The RM series is very similar to the BR series suspensions in terms of technical parameters and degrees of adjustment. The biggest difference is the use of a reverse monotube shock absorber. This type of construction is known, among others, from Tein threaded suspensions and increases driving comfort and shock absorbing force.

DS Series

BC Racing's new proprietary digressive piston design offers increased damping force at low piston speeds, while maintaining linear shock characteristics at higher piston speeds. One of the biggest advantages of increased damping force at low speed is the improvement of the driver's sensations when, for example, rocking, leaning, diving and sudden changes in the position of the center of gravity.

ER Series

The main difference between the ER series and the previous ones is the use of a system of external oil tanks. It offers 30 clicks of independently adjustable compression and rebound. This type of shock absorber construction also allows for increased oil volume and faster heat dissipation. As a result, the shock absorber maintains optimal operating conditions and does not lose its properties.

HM Series

The advantages of combining the two previous series - RM and ER - that is, where theHMSeries gets its wonderful properties. It uses an inverted monotube muffler like the RM series, but adds independent compression and rebound adjustments to the ER series. Each HM Series kit uses inverted monotube shock absorbers front and rear on McPherson strut vehicles with steel braided cables leading from the top of the shock to the external reservoirs.

ZR Series

ZR Series Suspension offers the most adjustability of any BC Racing Series system to date. The ZR series suspensions were developed specifically for drivers looking for greater damping adjustability than the ER or HR series. The ZR series offers 15x low speed compression adjustment, 12x high speed compression adjustment and 30x rebound adjustment. They also provide full height adjustment regardless of piston shaft stroke and spring compression. On cars with McPherson struts, the ZR series is standardly equipped with an inverted single-pipe muffler. The shock absorber has a steel braided cable extending from the top of the shock, leading to external reservoirs that can be remotely mounted to the chassis for easy adjustment.
